Game Rules

Setup:

  1. Players must decide (however they wish) who is Odds and who is Evens for the first race.
  2. Players will alternate between Odds and Evens after each race.
  3. Players must decide which fixture and which races they are playing in.
  4. Players must decide what stake they are playing for.

Gameplay:

After each race, the saddlecloth number of the winning horse determines which player won that leg. Their prize is the game stake multiplied by the Starting Price (SP). For example, if the game stake is £10 and the SP is 9/1 then the player will win £90.

In the event that the first three horses home all have saddlecloths that have parity (all are Odds or all are Evens) then the prize is doubled. In the above example the player would win £180.

The game continues until all of the legs have been completed, with the net prize position updating after each leg. After the final leg, a winner is declared and any net winnings are shown.

Notes:

  1. In the event of a dead heat for first place, no winner is declared and no prize is played for that leg.
  2. In the event of a dead heat for second or third place, no "Double Odds" are paid for that leg.
